White Chandan (White Sandalwood) is a premium aromatic tree variety known for its highly fragrant heartwood, used widely in perfumes, cosmetics, pooja items, essential oils, and Ayurvedic medicines. This variety is admired for its strong aroma, high wood value, and excellent long-term growth potential. The tree produces beautifully scented wood as it matures, making it one of the most valuable aromatic plants in India. White Chandan grows steadily and can be maintained in pots during early years, later developing into a strong, attractive tree for home gardens, farms, and spiritual spaces. Healthy nursery plants ensure faster establishment, stronger branching, and future high-quality aromatic wood formation. To keep it thriving: Maintain temperature between 20°C to 38°C. Provide 5-7 hours of direct sunlight daily. Water 1-2 times a week, allowing soil to dry slightly between waterings. Use well-drained red soil or loamy soil enriched lightly with compost (avoid heavy fertilizing). Plant near a host plant (like pigeon pea, neem, or lemon) since sandalwood is semi-parasitic. Feed sparingly every 45-60 days with mild organic fertilizer. Prune lightly to shape the plant and promote branching. Apply neem oil monthly for pest protection.
