Sikkim Malta is a premium Himalayan citrus variety known for its sweet-tangy balanced flavor, juicy pulp, and attractive orange-red skin. Grown traditionally in the cool climates of Sikkim and Northeast India, this variety is admired for its rich aroma, excellent juice quality, and strong resilience. The plant adapts well to most Indian climates and remains moderately compact, making it ideal for pots, terraces, balconies, and home gardens. Grafted plants ensure early fruiting, stronger growth, and superior fruit quality, perfect for both beginners and experienced growers. To keep it thriving: Maintain temperature between 15°C to 30°C (can tolerate warmer climates too). Provide 5-7 hours of direct sunlight daily. Water 1-2 times a week, keeping soil slightly moist but well-drained. Use well-drained sandy loam or citrus potting mix enriched with compost or cow dung.
