Dekopon Orange (also known as Shiranui or Sumo Citrus) is an imported, world-famous premium variety known for its exceptional sweetness, seedless juicy flesh, and distinctive top knot shape. The fruits are large, extremely flavorful, and have a rich aroma, making this one of the most luxurious citrus varieties grown worldwide. Dekopon plants are highly productive, adaptable, and remain moderately compact—perfect for pots, terraces, balconies, and home gardens. Grafted plants ensure early fruiting, stronger growth, and superior fruit quality, ideal for beginners as well as experienced growers. To keep it thriving: Maintain temperature between 18°C to 35°C. Provide 5-7 hours of direct sunlight daily. Water 1-2 times a week, allowing the soil to stay slightly moist but well-drained. Use well-drained sandy loam or citrus potting mix with compost. Feed every 30-45 days with a citrus-specific fertilizer for best yields. Prune lightly to shape the plant and encourage branching. Apply neem oil monthly to prevent pests like aphids, mites, and leaf miners.
