Darchini, also known as Cinnamon, is a premium aromatic spice plant valued for its fragrant bark and flavorful leaves, widely used in sweets, tea, biryani, desserts, and herbal remedies. The plant produces thin, highly aromatic bark and cinnamon leaves (tejpatta-like) that carry a warm, sweet-spicy fragrance. This variety is admired for its steady growth, rich aroma, and excellent adaptability in Indian climates. The plant grows into a small evergreen tree but can be easily maintained in pots, terraces, balconies, and kitchen gardens. Healthy nursery plants ensure quick establishment, strong branching, and high-quality bark & leaf production, suitable for both beginners and spice lovers. To keep it thriving: Maintain temperature between 18°C to 35°C. Provide 3-5 hours of filtered sunlight or partial shade (prefers soft light). Water 2-3 times a week, keeping soil slightly moist but well-drained. Use well-drained loamy soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Feed every 45-60 days with organic fertilizer to support leaf & bark development. Prune lightly to maintain shape and encourage branching. Apply neem oil monthly to protect from leaf pests and fungal issues.
